SETH BALIGOD UMKC SCHOOL OF MEDICINE STUDENT

Being homesick for Chicago inspired me to paint this abstract of a major metropolis where different cultures and identities blend together, and where diversity is celebrated. These colors are an interpretation of the diversity found in cities like Chicago. Their foundations are often built by marginalized groups. The blending of the paint and its metallic luster is meant to evoke alloy making, representing the mixture of these identities and how it contributes to a unique and more colorful culture.
