VIEW FULL IMAGE

Medium: Raku ware pottery Artist’s statement: This bowl is an exploration of the raku ceramic technique. I was inspired to push the endurance of fragility in the extreme temperature changes and open-flame combustion inherent in the raku process. This piece is a testament to the overlooked strength and resilience that can exist in something fragile as well as the meticulous process to get there – often defying our imagination.
