Achievers of Excellence

The late Dr. Glenn Eberhart, previous associate dean for Student Affairs, was honored during the Achievers of Excellence ceremony in April with his wife, Adele, and their son, Erik, in attendance.

In 2024, the School of Pharmacy held two Achievers of Excellence scholarship ceremonies to celebrate its generous donors and deserving students.

The ceremony for the 2023-24 scholarship cycle was held Friday, April 12, in Pierson Auditorium. New scholarships included the Huke Family Scholarship, the Gene F. Ray Family Scholarship and the MSHP Research and Education Scholarship. Both Pharm.D. and Ph.D. students received a combined total of $118,708 in scholarships.

The Achievers of Excellence ceremony for the 2024-25 scholarship cycle was held Friday, Nov. 1, in Pierson Auditorium. During that event, both Pharm.D. and Ph.D. students were awarded a combined total of $170,316 in scholarships to help them in their future academic endeavors.

Alumni Recognition

Tripp Logan (Pharm.D. ’02) was named the 2024 National Community Pharmacy Association’s Willard B. Simmons Independent Pharmacist of the Year. The award is given to a pharmacist who exhibits exemplary professional leadership, service to community and commitment to independent pharmacy.

Crystal Riggs (Pharm.D. ’03) was honored with the School of Pharmacy’s 2024 Alumni Achievement Award in April. Currently, Riggs is the senior vice president and ­chief pharmacy officer at Curative.
